NASA JWST

As a subcontractor to L-3 (Titan), IRC supports the NASA IV&V Facility by providing IV&V analysis in support of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) effort. JWST is a general purpose infrared space observatory that will be located at the second Sun-Earth Lagrange Point (L2) and utilized by international teams of scientists to investigate a wide range of fundamental astrophysical questions ranging from the nature of the first luminous sources of light in the Universe to the nature of planet formation. JWST is the logical successor to NASA’s most successful astronomical mission – Hubble Space Telescope.
